Dominican Government to announce pact with Barrick Gold

SantoDomingo.- The Dominican government will announce Wednesday on the negotiations with Barrick Gold Corp. ina National Palace ceremony at 5:30 pm, possibly headed by president DaniloMedina.

Presidency deputypress director Rafael Ovalle provided the information but didn’t specify if it’sthe outcome of the talks with Barrick Gold executives.

Medina said Wednesdaymorning that the talks continue permanently, and that he expects an outcome byobserving "white smoke" once the negotiation concludes.
