Vargas Maldonado asks Medina to ensure order in PRD meeting
Santo Domingo.– The president of Dominican Republic’s opposition party (PRD) Miguel Vargas Maldonado requested President Danilo Medina to prevent "unpleasant events" which would damage not olny the image of the party but also the government’s well-earned prestige.
Medina responded with a smile to reporters who approached him Friday at the re-inaugural ceremony of the Gregorio Luperon International Airport (AIGL) in Puerto Plata.
In his letter, Vargas Maldonado suggested Medina to ensure that the PRD can develop its next meeting of the National Executive Committee (CEN) without interference, blackmail or threats.
