Spanish judge hired by Dominican Government to sue train company

Santo Domingo.– The Dominican Republic will be represented by prominent Spanish human rights judge Baltasar Garzón in a lawsuit against the driver and company responsible for last week’s train derailment, killing 79 people in Spain.

According to Listin Diario, the Dominican government hired Garzón to represent them and the family of Rosalinda Altagracia Ynoa Gonzalez, 43, a top official who died in the train wreck.

Ynoa was an official of the Ministry of Economy Planning and Development who was in Madrid to prepare for the Ibero-American Summit in mid-October. She was on her way to visit family members when the train derailed. After being missing for days, her body arrived in Dominican territory last night.
