48 hours of moderate to heavy showers for most of the country

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office -Onamet- on Tuesday forecast increasing scattered showers and thunderstorm during the next 48 hours, for most of the country.

It said all regions can expect moderate to heavy downpours, except the Northwest.

Onamet adds that the rains result from a trough over the western part of the country, coupled with a tropical wave approaching from the Mona Passage.
