TC president: “We need to preserve independence and national identity”

Santo Domingo.- Constitutional Tribunal chief justice Milton Ray Guevara said Friday that "today as then, all Dominicans must preserve the independence and national identity, the Dominican State with its anthem and flag, and especially the deep Christian roots of our people."

He considered that "the dangers and new forms of treason our nation faces today require every citizen to raise his and her patriotic spirit as the heroes of the Restoration did, in order to ensure the permanence of the Dominican people, free, sovereign and independent."
