Three months of pretrial prevention for Jesus Pascual Cordero “El Chino”

Santo Domingo.– Jesus Pascual Cordero (El Chino), who was on the loose for several years and on the 10 most wanted list for drug trafficking, contract killing and asset laundering, has been sent to three months of pretrial detention in Higuey.

According to El Nuevo Diario, Cordero is accused of owning a farm where cocaine from Peru was converted to liquid cocaine and having amassed a fortune of nearly RD$300 million from organized crime.

The Anti-money Laundering Attorney said Cordero is part of a ring which smuggles drugs in garments, bringing 14.7 kilos of cocaine in their last shipment, according to the National Forensics Institute (Inacif).
