Officials ´harass´ prosecutors, don’t cooperate with probes

Santo Domingo.- NationalDistrict prosecutor Yeni Berenice Reynoso on Thursday said the investigation ofcorruption cases is a daunting task, because officials harass prosecutors andinstitutions don’t cooperate with information.

She said there’s noguarantee of confidentiality in the investigation, because informationrequested from some official reaches the person being investigated before the prosecutor.

Reynoso revealed thatmany official who´ve been or are being investigated have called her to ask whythe information was requested.

The official didn’t provideany of the names of officials who allegedly leaked information.
