Help for Dominicans in the US to regularize immigrant status

Santo Domingo.- Foreign minister Miguel Vargas on Monday instructed Dominican diplomats and consuls in the US to orient and utilize an ad campaign to inform the Dominican community about their rights, in the heels of recent immigration provisions and those that can be adopted.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry resolution establishes the lines of action for consular and immigration assistance to the Dominicans in the US, and to protect national interests abroad.

It stresses that the Dominican community needs guidance on the procedures and requirements that make it easier for them to regularize their migration situation.
