Public debt to consume 17% of 2018 Budget of US$97.7B

Santo Domingo.- The public debt will consume 17% of the 2018 Budget, estimated at more than RD$814 billion (US$97.7 billion), as the Government has allocated RD$137.0 billion, or RD$39.2 billion more than in the previous budget.

That means that the government will only have RD$687.0 billion available for all expenditure, Finance minister Donald Guerrero said Tues.

The resources managed by the Government next year will be financed by revenue from Internal Taxes (DGII), the Treasury and Customs.
