China donates 120 ambulances to Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- The governments of China and the Dominican Republic are finalizing the details for the arrival of 120 advanced technology-equipped ambulances donated by China, aimed at improving the response capacity for medical emergencies in the Dominican Republic.

In a meeting at the National Palace, chaired by the Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santos Echavarría, and the Chinese ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Chen Luning, the Dominican Government expressed its gratitude. Santos Echavarría highlighted the strengthening of the friendship between the two nations.

“We are always satisfied and grateful for the continued strengthening of relations between our countries in a context of friendship. We greatly appreciate this gesture from the Chinese people towards the Dominican Republic,” said Santos Echavarría.

The donation, managed by the Ministry of the Presidency (Minpre), will significantly enhance the country’s emergency medical services. The ambulances will support the National Emergency and Security Assistance System (9-1-1) and the Directorate of Out-of-Hospital Emergency Assistance Services (DAEH), thus improving both pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency services.

Chinese ambassador Chen Luning emphasized that the ambulance assistance project reflects the deep friendship between the two governments. He explained that of the 120 ambulances, 30 are high-end and 90 are standard, all equipped with advanced technology.

“I am convinced that this donation will alleviate the shortage of ambulances in the country, further enhance emergency response capabilities, and improve the quality of life for the Dominican people,” said Chen Luning.

Vice Minister of Government Coordination and Monitoring at Minpre, José Ramón Holguín, underscored the importance of the support and friendly relations maintained with China by President Luis Abinader’s administration, noting that this cooperation plan for the donation of 120 ambulances is particularly significant.

Also present at the meeting were Vice Ministers of Foreign Affairs for Economic Affairs and International Cooperation, Hugo Francisco Rivera Fernández, and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development, Olaya Dotel Caraballo, as well as the director of the National 9-1-1 Emergency and Security Assistance System, Randolfo Rijo Gómez.

Great ! They are welcome. However, they will have short lives serving the public. They will be destroyed by lack of maintenance, imprudent drivers, and street chaos. If any one of them lasts more than two years, the country is lucky

Huh…I thought Toyotas were Japanese. I saw it here on DT, so it must be right. Toyota is a Chinese company!

Toyota is not Chinese? It could be the image of Toyota ambulances is a file photo of Toyota ambulances. It could be China bought the vehicles from Toyota to be donated to the RD. Toyota has an ambulance production plant in Yokohama. Then, is it certain the donated ambulances are Toyota models?

My country won’t allow China to sell things to the dominican Republic because china is a devil and china is lie about everything. I hate china because china love to destroy other countries for wars. I know that china products are false. My country should buy ambulances in America or in Canada or Japan. WHEN I MOVE BACK TO MY COUNTRY. I will sue my dominican president. I hope luis Abinader is going to jail for destroy our country . I will destroy Chinese people in santo domingo when I come back to my country. China love the devil that is why china is thinking of money and they always control people in china.
