Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrives at MIREX for meeting with Roberto Álvarez

Santo Domingo.- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived at the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) on Wednesday for a closed-door meeting with Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez.

Following their bilateral discussions, the two diplomats are expected to hold a joint press conference at noon, according to an official announcement from the Foreign Ministry.

Lavrov landed at Las Américas International Airport at 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday and was received in the VIP area by Russia’s designated ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Aleksey Seredin, and Dominican Ambassador to Russia, Alexander Arias.
