Paliza to lead visit to NVIDIA Centers of Excellence in Miami

Santo Domingo.- Minister of the Presidency José Ignacio Paliza will lead an official delegation to Miami this Friday to visit two Artificial Intelligence Centers of Excellence, as part of the cooperation agreement recently signed between the Dominican Republic and NVIDIA, the global leader in accelerated computing. The delegation includes Ambassador María Isabel Castillo, OGTIC director Edgar Batista, and ITLA rector Rafael Féliz.

Throughout the visit, the Dominican officials will meet with academic and innovation leaders to explore advanced models in AI talent development, technological governance, startup incubation, and public-private collaboration. The agenda features tours of the Miami Dade College AI Center and the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation, both recognized for their state-of-the-art infrastructure and AI-focused programs.

This mission marks an important step in designing the upcoming AI Centers of Excellence planned for the Dominican Republic and reflects President Luis Abinader’s commitment to strengthening the national innovation ecosystem and accelerating the country’s digital transformation.
