Igor Rodríguez reaffirms commitment at opening of Dominican Civil Aviation Week

Santo Domingo.- During a thanksgiving mass and floral offering at the Altar of the Fatherland, held as part of Dominican Civil Aviation Week, Igor Rodríguez Durán, Director General of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to responsibility, integrity, and passion. He expressed gratitude to all IDAC employees, noting that their dedication forms the foundation of the agency’s achievements.

Rodríguez Durán highlighted that, from the beginning of his administration, he established a comprehensive agenda that involved all collaborators in the institution’s development. He pointed to significant investments in staff training and state-of-the-art equipment to strengthen civil aviation operations in the country. He encouraged the sector to continue working with unity and conviction to ensure a safer future for Dominican aviation.

Civil Aviation Week is part of the annual activities leading up to International Civil Aviation Day, celebrated on December 7—a date that commemorates the 1944 signing of the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
