Dominican airline Arajet announces new flights to Venezuela
Santo Domingo.- Arajet confirmed it will begin flights to Venezuela starting in mid-2026, marking its official entry into the market following the reopening of air connectivity between both countries. The airline plans to launch operations with the Punta Cana–Caracas route via Maiquetía International Airport, with intentions to expand to other cities such as Valencia and Maracaibo.
The Dominican carrier described Venezuela as a strategic market and highlighted that the expansion has been made possible after securing the necessary approvals from aviation authorities. The new route is part of Arajet’s broader regional growth strategy, aimed at strengthening connectivity across the Caribbean and South America.
Although details on flight frequency and fares have not yet been announced, the airline said this information will be released in the coming weeks. With this move, Arajet seeks to reinforce its position in a competitive aviation market while capitalizing on renewed travel demand between the Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
