Espaillat to host first annual Dominicans on the Hill at the U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON, DC – Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) will host the first annual Dominicans on the Hill, a day at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, February 7th from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. EST.  During the one-day event, Dominican-Americans from communities around the nation will attend workshops on issues ranging from immigration, education and the workforce, the U.S. economy and trade.

“Dominican-Americans are the fifth-largest Latino group in the United States and have a growing presence in communities around the nation,” said Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13). “With our growing population and representation across the U.S., it remains vital that Dominican-Americans and individuals of Dominican descent have an opportunity to let their voices be heard on the issues and concerns facing their communities.”

This event is open to the public and members of the press.
