Cuba defeats Dominican Republic 3-0 in friendly match

Santiago, DR.– Cuba scored three first-half goals to defeatthe host Dominican Republic 3-0 in an international friendly Wednesday at theEstadio Cibao FC and won the Copa Maximo Gomez.

It was the Cubans’ first match of the year as they preparefor the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. "It was a very important game forus," said Cuba head coach Walter Benitez. "I congratulate the Dominicanteam that has come a long way, has good players and I know the team willcontinue to improving.”
