Dominican Republic draws 3.2M tourists January-June, a 6.5% jump

Santo Domingo.- Tourist arrivals to the Dominican Republic rose 6.5% from January and June, a total of 3.2 million, or an additional 198,517 than in the same period last year.

On its website, the Central Bank revealed Wed. that 6.8% more visitors arrived by air in that period .

The arrival of non-resident passengers January to June from North America climbed 4.3%; Europe 21.7% and Central America and the Caribbean 9.8%, while South America decreased by 1.3%, paced by lower numbers from Venezuela and Brazil.
