Llibre suggests designing a plan for the success of tourism

During a press conference, the President of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) praised the achievements made in the country’s tourism industry through the joint efforts of the government and private companies. David Llibre suggested that the Tourism Cabinet promote a development plan to maintain and increase the success of the sector.

Llibre made these comments after the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, announced that more than two million visitors arrived in the country in the first quarter of 2023. He also presented the successful results reported by the tourist activity in March, along with the promising projections for 2023.

At the meeting, Collado also requested the audience to applaud Héctor Valdez Albizu, governor of the Central Bank. Llibre acknowledged the effectiveness of the strategy to involve both public and private sectors in national tourist activity.
