ANJE hosts sixth edition of “Legal Trends” focused on legal developments for MSMEs

Santo Domingo.- The National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) successfully held the sixth edition of its annual “Legal Trends” event, which highlights legal developments impacting business activities, with a special focus this year on micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The event, organized by ANJE’s Justice and Legislation Commission, attracted over 200 young entrepreneurs and legal experts, providing a platform to discuss the evolving legal landscape in the Dominican Republic.

The event featured three discussion blocks, addressing key themes such as the legal ecosystem for investments, strategies for MSME growth, and stock market opportunities. Notable speakers included Marcos Peña, founding partner of Jiménez Peña, who explained contractual strategies for raising capital, and Yorlin Vásquez from the DGII, who tackled tax obligations and labor reform opportunities for MSMEs.

The event concluded with the launch of a localized version of the Simple Participation Contracts (SAFE) model to facilitate capital raising for startups. The initiative was supported by major Dominican businesses and sponsors, reaffirming ANJE’s role as a key advocate for the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
