Conadis attend 25th Anniversary of Wheelchair Foundation

Miami.- Benny Metz and Alexis Alcántara, president and executive director of the National Council for the Disabled (Conadis), attended a charity dinner marking the 25th anniversary of the Wheelchair Foundation. The event, led by foundation president Steve Beinke, celebrated the donation of over one million wheelchairs worldwide.

The evening featured speeches by Dr. Cruz Jiminian and former Major League Baseball player Nelson Cruz, both active contributors to the initiative. Distinguished guests included former Dominican Republic ambassador Robin Bernstein, former player José Rijo, and Marcelle Martínez Bonetti, president of the Good Ride Foundation.

The event received broad support from institutions, sports organizations, business leaders, and the public sector, all contributing to the procurement of essential mobility equipment for those in need.
