Santo Domingo Yacht Club launches 2025 Sailing and Fishing Season

Santo Domingo.- With a vibrant opening ceremony, the Santo Domingo Yacht Club officially kicked off the 2025 Sailing and Fishing Season, marking its 60th anniversary. The event gathered athletes, club members, and enthusiasts to unveil a calendar of exciting competitions.

The season begins with the Independence Cup Regatta on February 23, followed by the Children’s Fishing Tournament on March 8. Key fishing events include the El Dorado Tournament on April 5, the International White Marlin Tournament from June 4 to 7, and the International Blue Marlin Tournament from October 1 to 4. Notable sailing competitions feature the Solstice of Summer Regatta (June 21-22), the PIPYMCA Marineritos Regatta (August 3), and the Cinta Azul Regatta (November 8-9).

Club directors emphasized the impact of these events on local sports and tourism, inviting the community to participate. This milestone season reaffirms the Santo Domingo Yacht Club’s leadership in Dominican nautical sports, celebrating six decades of tradition and excellence.
