Second International Congress CICI 2025 opens in Punta Cana

Punta Cana.- The National Council of Tax Consultants (CONACI) inaugurated the 2nd International Congress of Tax Consultants (CICI 2025), positioning it as the country’s leading forum on taxation and fiscal policy. The three-day event, held at the Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort, is themed “Taxation and Fiscal Trends: A Necessary Agenda for the Dominican Republic” and gathers regional experts to debate issues such as tax reform, the digital economy, and the impact of artificial intelligence.

The program features keynote speeches and panels with international specialists. Topics include AI in audits and court rulings, regional lessons on tax reforms, and new challenges in the digital economy, including digital services and cryptoassets. The congress will conclude with addresses by the heads of the DGII and DGA, who will present progress and challenges in Dominican tax administration. Founded in 2008, CONACI is a nonprofit institution dedicated to advancing tax knowledge and supporting independent consultants in the Dominican Republic.
