LIDOM postpones two games today due to Tropical Storm Melissa

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) announced the postponement of two games scheduled for Thursday, October 23, 2025, due to the indirect effects of Tropical Storm Melissa across the country.

The affected matches were: Gigantes del Cibao vs. Leones del Escogido at Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium (originally postponed on October 17) and Águilas Cibaeñas vs. Estrellas Orientales at Tetelo Vargas Stadium (originally postponed on October 21).

After consulting with its weather advisor, Jean Suriel, LIDOM decided to delay both games in accordance with recommendations from emergency and meteorological authorities, who advise avoiding mass gatherings during adverse weather. The league emphasized that the safety of players, fans, and staff remains its top priority, and the new dates for the rescheduled matches will be announced in due course.
