New York.- At a meeting held at the intersection of 164th Street and Broadway, dozens of San Cristóbal residents, led by José Tejeda, gathered to promote the creation of a sports city near the Temístocles Metz municipal baseball stadium in San Cristóbal. Tejeda, an artistic entrepreneur and sports promoter, emphasized that this project is a longstanding request from the local community to the Dominican government.

The event was attended by notable figures, including former legislator Leivin Guerrero, Vice-Minister of the Presidency Benny Metz (son of Temístocles Metz), athlete and promoter José Elías Domínguez, and businessman Tony Diaz. The project has already gained support from the local sports movement and has been discussed with authorities, such as EGEHID Director Rafael Salazar, Governor Pura Casilla, Mayor Nelson De La Rosa, and Senator Gustavo Lara, at various venues in the province of San Cristóbal.
