Dominican Republic and U.S. strengthen cooperation on airport security

Santo Domingo.- The Specialized Corps for Airport and Civil Aviation Security (CESAC) is advancing its strategic partnership with the United States to bolster security at Dominican airports. During an official visit, CESAC Director General, Brigadier General Enmanuel Souffront Tamayo, met with Lieutenant Colonel Lowell Krusinger, Senior Defense Attaché of the U.S. Embassy, to exchange expertise and collaborate on enhancing airport safety.

This bilateral cooperation aims to improve staff training, modernize security equipment, and optimize surveillance protocols at the country’s airports to address global security challenges. The partnership also focuses on implementing new technologies and refining best practices to elevate security standards at Dominican air terminals.
