COE reports five deaths

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported five fatalities in its first bulletin for the Holy Week operation “Awareness for Life 2025,” released this Friday. Four of the deaths were caused by traffic accidents, while one person died by drowning.

A total of 25 traffic accidents were recorded, affecting 26 individuals. The majority of the incidents involved motorcycles, while two involved light vehicles and one a jeep. Of these accidents, 11 occurred on highways or main roads, and 14 in urban areas.
