BiggerMacarrulla family denies involvement in alleged censorship of Listín Diario
Santo Domingo.- On Thursday, the Macarrulla family released a public statement responding to a Listín Diario report that the U.S. company Network Solutions had requested the removal of online content mentioning a family member. The family firmly denied any involvement with the company or the request.

In their statement, the Macarrullas emphasized their commitment to democratic values and freedom of expression, stating they have consistently respected both public and private institutions. They reaffirmed their support for open dialogue and citizens’ constitutional rights to express themselves freely.
The family also took the opportunity to commend Listín Diario for its 135-year legacy in Dominican journalism. They praised the outlet’s contribution to national democracy and expressed respect for its editorial team’s integrity and professionalism.
Would like to have been a fly on the wall where officials of Listin and Network Solutions met to discuss the content of the Macarrulla family member. If the story was untrue then the Listin should retract the story. The story has not been retracted. It should remain standing as any other story in Listin’s archives. The Macarrulla family thru Network Solutions should have no entitlement to redact.
