La Altagracia.- The La Romana-Bayahibe Hotel Association (AHRB) and the Tourism Cluster (CTRB) announced that approximately 600 runners are expected to participate in the 10th edition of the Bayahibe 10K race, scheduled for September 14, 2025. The race will begin at 7:00 a.m. from La Punta de Bayahibe and wind through the main streets of the community.
Organizers highlighted that the course offers a mix of high-speed segments and endurance-demanding stretches, making it a well-rounded athletic challenge. The event will feature hydration stations, medical support, and more than 80 security personnel from various agencies, including Civil Defense, 911, the Dominican Navy, Politur, the National Police, and Digesett.
Ana García-Sotoca, Executive Director of AHRB and CTRB, described the race as a flagship event for the destination, promoting a healthy lifestyle and drawing runners from across the country. She noted its growing role in positioning La Romana as a hub for athletes and families.
