Sunday weather in Dominican Republic: don’t get caught in the rain
Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Meteorological Institute (Indomet) warned that the weather on Sunday in the Dominican Republic will continue to be affected by a trough located in the west of the country, which will generate scattered showers during the day in provinces such as María Trinidad Sánchez, Hato Mayor, Samaná, La Altagracia, and San Pedro de Macorís.
The agency emphasized that, in the afternoon, these conditions will be compounded by the effects associated with the afternoon warming, which will result in cloud cover accompanied by heavy downpours in isolated areas, thunderstorms, and possible gusts of wind until the early evening hours over the provinces of Hato Mayor, San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, San Cristóbal, La Vega, Azua, San Juan, Elías Piña, Dajabón, and parts of Greater Santo Domingo.
