EOC warns of dangerous waves, heavy rains on North Coast

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported on Saturday that, according to the weather bulletin from the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET), Hurricane Erin, a category 5 storm, will cause adverse weather conditions in much of the country.

Expected effects

Cloudy skies with local showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds.

Dangerous waves along the entire north coast, from La Altagracia to Montecristi.

Showers and strong winds in inland provinces such as Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Vega, and Monseñor Nouel.

Green alert 2 and yellow alert 8 for possible river flooding:
