National Police raid illegal event in Colonial City

Santo Domingo.- The National Police, through the Central Intelligence Directorate (DINTEL) and in coordination with Politur, the Preventive Police, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, raided an apartment in the Colonial City where an illegal event was being organized and promoted online. The operation was carried out under Court Order No. 2025-AJ0058023, issued at the request of the District Attorney of the National District.

During the raid on August 29, 14 people were arrested, including Juan Luis de los Santos Polanco, 33, the organizer of the clandestine “Orgía After World” party. While the other participants were later released, the organizer was ordered to report periodically to the authorities as a coercive measure.

National Police spokesman Diego Pesqueira noted that, although there were claims that an evangelical pastor attended the party, authorities have no confirmed details about individual attendees. He emphasized that the Police and the Public Ministry remain committed to upholding the law, maintaining public order, and protecting citizen security, warning that clandestine activities like this pose serious risks to social coexistence and public health.
