Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester honored for contributions to port security

Santo Domingo.- Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester, Director General of Immigration, was awarded the “Medal of Merit for National Port Security and Protection” in the Gold Category with Blue Distinction by the Specialized Port Security Corps (CESEP) of the Ministry of Defense.

The recognition highlights his leadership and contributions to strengthening port security in the Dominican Republic, particularly during his tenures as director of CESEP between 2004–2006 and 2011–2012. Lee Ballester is credited with promoting public policies that enhanced national security standards at ports.
