Rhadamés Peña’s victory at the seventh tournament of the Canita Golf Tour

Punta Cana.- Amateur golfer Rhadamés Peña secured victory at the seventh tournament of the 2023-24 Canita Tour, held over the weekend at Punta Cana’s La Cana Golf Course.

Peña concluded with rounds of 65+70, accumulating a total score of 135. This triumph marks Rhadamés’ first win of the season. Notable past victors include Willy Pumarol (3 wins), Juan José Guerra with two victories, and Julio Santos with one. Guerra claimed second position with a score of 68+71, while Pumarol secured third place with 70+71.

In the Mid-Amateur category, Fernando Luis Rodríguez secured the top position with rounds of 75+77, followed by Eric Maradiaga in second place with 76+76, and Roy Galván in third place with scores of 77+78.

Among the Seniors, Hugo Lazarde clinched the first position with a score of 75+78, Rod Albers secured second place with 78+76, and Luis Matos finished in third place with scores of 75+79.

The eighth stop of the Canita Tour is scheduled at Punta Cana’s Corales Golf Club from April 4 to 7 this year.

The tournament is under the technical supervision of the Dominican Golf Federation (Fedogolf).
