Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic is gearing up for the prestigious Premier 12 baseball tournament, an international competition featuring the world’s top 12 baseball teams, set to run from November 13 to November 24. Following four weeks of intense preparation, the Dominican team is ready to contend for the championship, with a strong lineup and coaching staff led by manager Cesar Martin. Key coaching roles include Ervin Santana as pitching coach, Ronny Paulino as batting coach, and Ramon Santiago as third base and bench coach, among other seasoned experts.
The Dominican Baseball Federation, with support from Panorama Media Group, assembled a preliminary roster of around 50 players, ultimately selecting the strongest talents for the tournament. The team’s roster includes pitchers like Alex Colomé and Wily Peralta, catchers Frank Rodriguez and Julio Rodriguez, and infielders Rainer Nuñez and Kelvin Gutierrez. Outfielders Pedro González and Micker Adolfo complete the lineup. The team will begin its Premier 12 campaign in China-Taipei, starting with a match against Cuba on November 13, followed by games against China-Taipei, Australia, Korea, and Japan.
The games will be broadcast live by Panorama Media Group, VTV Television, and 96.9 FM radio to ensure full coverage for Dominican fans. The broadcast team, led by José Antonio Mena and supported by sports commentators like Víctor Báez, promises in-depth, firsthand coverage, building on their experience from previous international tournaments.
