MIREX and LDF sign agreement to speed up athlete visas

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) and the Dominican Football League (LDF) signed an agreement to streamline visa procedures for athletes, coaches, and staff of league teams. The accord, signed by Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez and LDF president Milton Ray Guevara, commits MIREX to respond to visa requests within six calendar days, ensuring foreign players and personnel can participate in tournaments and training programs in the country.

Álvarez emphasized that the initiative aligns with MIREX’s mission to support national development and strengthen the Dominican Republic’s international presence by guaranteeing a fast, secure, and transparent visa process. Guevara, in turn, thanked the Foreign Ministry for its support, noting that soccer serves as a bridge for fostering international relations and development.
