No more low season: Puerto Plata hotel occupancy at 69%+

Puerto Plata.- Hotel occupancy in Puerto Plata province exceeds 69%, according to Tourism Ministry figures.

It said the destination received 427,470 cruises tourists to May 31, and whose consumption contributed to the Dominican economy, US$12.1 million in that period.

Hoteliers affirm that the figures mean that the “low season” no longer exists in the area.
