EDEESTE seeks to recover RD$662 Million from overdue accounts

Santo Domingo.- The Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (EDEESTE) announced that its largest debtors owe a total of RD$662,296,122.24, with 41% of this amount comprising late fees.

EDEESTE has published a list of clients with the highest outstanding balances and is offering negotiation facilities. The company has enhanced its online platform, allowing users to manage their accounts quickly and securely from home.

Additionally, EDEESTE has extended service hours in all its offices, where specialized agents will provide various payment options. Customers who regularize their accounts within the next thirty days will have their late fees waived, though this does not apply to financing interest.

These measures aim to reduce unnecessary expenses and legal actions, offering users a simple and convenient way to stabilize their financial situations. EDEESTE emphasized that outstanding debts affect the company’s operations and sustainability, compromising its ability to provide quality service.
