BiggerCourt orders penalties and restrictions in La Altagracia sexual exploitation case
La Altagracia.- On Tuesday, the Court of Instruction of the Permanent Attention Office in La Altagracia imposed financial guarantees, travel bans, and requirements for periodic court appearances on four individuals implicated in an alleged sexual exploitation network in Verón, La Altagracia province.

Domingo Lorenzo Santana (Wellington), the suspected leader of the operation, was fined 200,000 pesos. Reyna Julissa Solano Monción, the alleged manager of the establishment, and Haitian national Berlin Erisme (Obama) were each required to provide a financial guarantee of 20,000 pesos. Richard de la Cruz Camacho (Danny, El Pa and/or Paz) was ordered to pay 50,000 pesos.
Judge Mary C. Castillo Germán had previously postponed the hearing to allow three victims to testify in the Gesell chamber. Attorney Andy De Leon, representing two of the defendants, challenged the human trafficking charges, questioning the grounds for these accusations.
Calle Kiev is in Bavaro…not Veron. Right across the road from Cocotal. I think someone is trying to keep the name “Bavaro” out of the news.
The labels of Punta Cana, Bavaro, Veron, and Friusa are interchangeable when the media make reports. Because all of them fall within the Eastern Tourist Zone, the leanings of reports favor the label Punta Cana when news is good, Bavaro when it is a mixed bag, Veron if negative, and Friusa most always when unfavorable.
Note all the locations do have good news. However, the reporting of good news usually has a slant favoring political activities or marketing having to do with personalities or enterprises associated to the label Punta Cana.
Although the criminal activity in this case was in Bavaro… Veron was used because the calle is within its municipal boundaries. Bavaro is within Veron’s boundaries. However, its name was not used.
