Cap Cana – The owners of the Margaritaville hotel have confirmed to arecoa.com that it will soon be managed by the Hyatt chain, which replaces Karisma Hotels, its current operator; Dreams, one of Hyatt’s brands, will operate the Cap Cana hotel establishment.
Several investors and chains were interested in Margaritaville, as arecoa.com has been publishing in recent months. Interests focused on both purchase and management. Before Hyatt, there were contacts with the Jamaican Sandals.
However, the owners have decided to continue as owners and reach a management agreement with the famed Hyatt. The strength of the North American brand is much greater than that of Karisma, even though it had a very commercial brand such as Margaritaville as a partner.
Below, we publish the official statement of the company that owns the hotel in Playa Juanillo de Cap Cana:
Cobbo Bay Developers SA, owner of the 519-room hotel complex located on Juanillo Beach Cap Cana, currently operated by Karisma under the Margaritaville Island Reserve brand, has held a meeting with the executive committee and other collaborators to officially notify them that as of November 27 of this year, Hyatt will be in charge of the management of the hotel’s operations, which will be operated under one of its trademarks and will become Dreams Cap Cana.
The hotel will remain open during this transition and remodeling period, and Hyatt will soon issue a more detailed press release outlining the project’s attributes and scope.
