Government provides emergency relief for flood-affected families in Puerto Plata

Puerto Plata.- Vice President Raquel Peña announced the distribution of a special RD$5,000 bonus to 3,469 individuals impacted by recent floods in Cabarete and Villa Montellano. The initiative aims to support affected families in recovering from the disaster, with distributions beginning Monday.

During a meeting with local authorities and community leaders, Peña commended Minister of the Presidency José Ignacio Paliza for leading the government’s response efforts to restore normalcy in Puerto Plata. She emphasized the commitment of President Luis Abinader and Paliza, who personally visited the affected areas during the rains to assess the damage and coordinate relief efforts.
