Civil Defense strengthens training and supervision for Easter Week 2025

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Civil Defense has officially commenced its annual training and supervision of beach resorts to ensure a timely and efficient response during the 2025 Easter Week operation.
Executive Director Juan Salas emphasized the importance of preparing volunteers and technicians, highlighting a recent training camp in Sabaneta, San Juan de la Maguana. These sessions focus on emergency response, risk management, and life-saving techniques such as Basic First Aid and Water Rescue. Salas also announced additional training programs in the coming days.
In parallel, Civil Defense has begun inspecting beach resorts nationwide to assess safety conditions. Collaborating with the Ministry of the Environment, Public Works, Tourism, and local authorities, officials are verifying the presence of trained personnel, proper signage, and rescue equipment. The agency will continue these evaluations, closing sites deemed unsafe while reinforcing its commitment to public safety. Citizens are encouraged to follow official recommendations and use QR codes provided by Civil Protection to access updated information on open resorts.
