Puerto Plata Golf Club to host 50th Rotating Golf Cup
Puerto Plata.- The Puerto Plata Golf Club will host the 50th edition of the Rotating Golf Cup from August 30 to September 6, 2025, with the participation of more than 140 players. Club president Juan Antonio Morales highlighted the tournament’s importance for both the institution and the Puerto Plata community, describing it as one of the most emblematic golf events in the northern region. This year’s edition will be dedicated to past champions who have shaped the tournament’s legacy.
The competition will begin on Saturday, August 30, with the traditional PPGC Rotating Cup for members, while rounds on September 5 and 6 will welcome national and international players. As the second-oldest tournament in the country, surpassed only by national events organized by the Dominican Golf Federation, the Rotating Golf Cup remains a key part of Dominican golf history.
According to Playa Dorada Golf Club director Américo Núñez, the tournament will be played in stroke play and individual categories for both the club’s members and invited guests. Prizes will be awarded for the best net and gross scores, as well as for longest drive, most accurate hole-in-one, and closest to the pin on the 17th hole.
