Puntacana International School excels at Yale Model United Nations

New Haven, Connecticut.- A delegation of 48 students from Puntacana International School (PCIS) participated in the 51st edition of the Yale Model United Nations (YMUN) from January 23 to 26, 2025, at Yale University in New Haven, USA. Accompanied by school leaders and faculty, the students engaged in diplomatic debates, representing various countries to address global challenges. PCIS was the only school from the Dominican Republic to receive multiple recognitions, highlighting its academic excellence.
Students Lisselle Gonzalez, representing France in the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, and Milan Ramautarsing, representing Benin in the Commission on Population and Development, were awarded for their outstanding contributions. Their achievements marked a significant milestone for the school, which has participated in YMUN three times and other prestigious United Nations models at Harvard and Georgetown.
With 11 years of experience in international Model UN conferences, PCIS continues to promote leadership, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills. These events provide students with valuable learning experiences that enhance their academic and personal growth, reinforcing the school’s commitment to preparing them for global challenges.
