LatAm’s richest head to Dominican Republic’s top resort
Santo Domingo.- The richest men in Latin America meet in Dominican Republic’s top resort Casa de Campo starting Wednesday, on invitation made each year by the world’s richest man, Mexican Carlos Slim, local media report.
“The richest men in Latin America meet from Wednesday in the Dominican Republic, at Casa de Campo, in response to a call made by each year the world’s richest man, Mexican Carlos Slim,” it said.
This year’s meeting will bring together business leaders and the sons of the principal families of the continent, starting with Slim himself, and continuing with Gustavo Cisneros, who resides in the Dominican Republic and has investments. Solutions from the business community will be sought at the meeting as well as the many serious problems and issues of the continent will be discussed.
In addition to the organizers many Dominican entrepreneurs including Pepin and Manuel Corripio, Pepe Fanjul, Juan and Felipe Vicini will be this year’s hosts.
President Danilo Medina is scheduled to open the meeting.
“Latin American entrepreneurs will discuss the challenges of leadership and development of the region in the "Business Meeting XIII – Fathers and Sons," says the statement adding that the event provides a forum to discuss the generational transition in business and various sustainable development initiatives.
