Medina kicks off school year with Digital Republic challenge

Monte Plata, Dominican Republic.- President Danilo Medina on Monday headed the ceremony to kick off school year 2017-2018, in the City of Knowledge educational project, where he will also inaugurate a polytechnic and other schools in the eastern province.
In the keynote speech, Education minister Andrés Navarro, said this school year starts with 3.0 million students enrolled nationwide.
He said this year’s new schools have full-day classes, “with the great challenge of implementing the Digital Republic program.”
