Biggest bank wins prestigious magazine’s top prize

Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic’s biggest b bank, Popular, on Tues. won The Banker magazine’s bank of the year prize for the 11th occasion in which the financial publication selects the entity for its outstanding management, business model and results.

The Banker’s award is considered one of the most important recognitions in the international financial sector.

The publication’s banking classifications are supported by analysis of financial entities from over 130 countries, which reflect their business and financial achievements during the year.

Specifically the magazine reviewed Banco Popular’s efforts in digital transformation and social and financial inclusion and highlights its digital banking model.
