Dominican Republic unveils ‘Meta RD 2036’ strategy in Guatemala

Guatemala.- The Dominican Republic took part in the 18th Ibero-American Forum on Responsible Business, held in Guatemala and organized by CentraRSE. The event brought together over 2,000 business leaders and 30 international experts to explore sustainability’s role in fostering regional innovation and competitiveness.

Peter Prazmowski, executive director of the National Competitiveness Council (CNC), represented the country and presented the Meta RD 2036 initiative—an ambitious national plan aimed at doubling the Dominican Republic’s GDP by 2036 through sustainability, innovation, and productivity. He highlighted how the nation is implementing public policies to enhance long-term competitiveness while embracing responsible business practices to drive inclusive and resilient growth.

Prazmowski delivered his remarks during a high-level business breakfast that also featured the presentation of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) report “Regional Opportunities Amid Global Change.” The forum was attended by senior Guatemalan government officials, business chamber leaders, and top executives from major companies in the region.
