Abinader: two million Dominicans escaped poverty
Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader highlighted significant progress in the Dominican Republic’s sustainable development, with the country climbing to 52nd globally on the Sustainable Development Goals Index and ranking fourth in Latin America. Between 2020 and 2024, over 2 million Dominicans escaped monetary poverty, with general poverty dropping to 18.98% and extreme poverty to nearly 3%.
Key improvements include near-universal health coverage, increased life expectancy, reduced malnutrition, and higher female workforce participation. The country projects 3.5% economic growth in 2025, with strong foreign investment and wage increases. Advances in transparency, renewable energy, and reduced inequality were also noted. Despite ongoing challenges, Abinader emphasized that these achievements boost investor confidence and support sectors like tourism.

This is so misleading, and completely unsustainable development. He refuses to support domestic production and is flooding the DR with imported products. Horrible president.
3.5% economic growth in 2025?.. This is well above the regional average, but still low for DR standard…
And put THE LORD, YOUR PROTECTION, into poverty, begging and catching the bus etc…THIEVES AND CORRUPT TRAFFIC POLICE, DIGESETT! THEIVES WHO DONT MERIt AN ECONOMCY AS SUCH! .WAIT UNTIL THE WORLD FINDS THIS OUT AND THEY WILL! IF THIS ISLAND DOES NOT SINK INTO THE OCEAN!
