Agents nab local man wanted in New Jersey on drug charges(Correct)
Santo Domingo. – Antinarcotics (DNCD) agents arrested a Dominican wanted in extradition by the United States, where he faces several drug charges.
Eduardo Alex Barinas and/or Omar Antonio Lima, 37, who was arrested by Special Investigations Dept. agents while driving on the Mella highway, Santo Domingo East.
It said among the charges Barina faces figure conspiring to import narcotics into the United States from Dominican Republic, in a case involving five kilos or more of cocaine.
The suspect, who faces criminal prosecution after being indicted by the U.S. District Court in New Jersey, was taken to a cell at DNCD headquarters to await extradition proceedings.
