Under the hashtag #sefBCRD, this week-long event will feature the participation of 46 public and private entities, engaging in a diverse program of free, in-person activities. The activities include pavilion visits, talks, workshops, conferences, game dynamics, training sessions, and a visit to the Numismatic and Philatelic Museum, according to a press release.

The Central Bank’s auditorium in Santo Domingo and the Regional Office in Santiago de los Caballeros will be open to children and young people from 1st grade to 6th grade high school, university students, and the general public. The visiting hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The scheduled activities aim to provide participants with both educational and entertaining experiences, covering topics such as the culture of savings, personal financial management, fundamental concepts of economics and finance, responsible use of credit cards, identification of currencies and banknotes in circulation, taxation knowledge, entrepreneurship loan methodologies, and insights into the stock market.

Highlighted in the announcement is a conference titled ‘Black Swans: a growing challenge for the news media,’ to be presented by Spanish journalist Fernando Díaz Villanueva. This particular session is tailored for journalists, communicators, and communication directors.

The agenda also includes the awards ceremony for the XI ‘Economists of the Future’ academic competition, adding an extra layer of significance to the week’s events.
